Every once in a while we need a jolt in our lives to get us going. Maybe you’ve steered away from your path, and need a little motivation to get yourself going again. Only when we keep our mind and body in alignment is when we perform at our optimum potential. Here are a few ways to recharge and energize your mind, body and soul.

  • Spiritually: Through faith, meditation or both. Our mind, body, and soul work in tandem with each other. When you strengthen your spiritual energy all else falls into place.
  • Food: Certain foods have a substantial impact on your energy levels. Eating enriching foods promotes energy leading to elevated moods.
    • Matcha: Matcha doesn’t give you jitters, and actually keeps you focused. It’s rich in L-Theanine which aids in brain function. Matcha also promotes weight loss, low cholesterol, chlorophyll, vitamins, boosts metabolism, and elevates your mood.
    • Coffee: Coffee along with matcha helps you burn fat and has a ton of antioxidants. These antioxidant rich beans increase your energy levels, and lowers your risk of dementia, and Alzheimer’s.

    • Avocados: This super food is loaded in healthy fats. It’s good for you internally as well as externally. Avocados contain many healthy fats that help lower cholesterol and may help with weight loss. Whip up a face or hair mask for glowing skin, and shiny soft hair.
    • Oats: Oats are loaded with vitamins such as, iron, copper, and manganese to name a few. They also, contain soluble fiber that promotes fullness and healthy gut flora.
    • Brown Rice: Brown rice helps to promote fullness, prevents blood clots, and is high in fiber. It also contains selenium which helps regulate your thyroid gland.
  • Exercise: Brisk walks, yoga, or any fitness level activity for a minimum of 20-30 minutes increases the heart rate and improves your mood.
  • Bath Soaks: Epsom salt is said to provide magnesium, reduce stress, promote sleep, help with exercise recovery, and reduce pain.
  • Essential Oils: Using a diffuser in a nice quiet space can help alleviate the mind from daily stresses of the world. Scents such as lavender, lemongrass, and chamomile can aid in mental relaxation and calmness. Scents like peppermint, bergamot, and eucalyptus can aid in boosting energy.
  • Music: Not death metal, but classical or any low tempo and soundscape music puts you in a soothed relaxed and energized mood.
  • Cold Showers: There are several health benefits to taking cold showers. It promotes weight loss, increases metabolism, improves circulation, and drains the lymphatic system. It also Improves fertility, lowers stress, enhances the nervous system, and enhances hair and skin.
  • Hydration: This is a given. Water helps flush toxins from the body, improves skin, lubricates joints, and aids in weight loss.
